A. Write an equation to find the density of an ideal gas given the Temperature, Pressure and molar mass of the gas. b. Find the density of helium gas (4.00 g/mol) at 1.10 atm and 300 K.
c. Find the density of air (approximately 29.0 g/mol) at 1.00 atm and 300 K.
d. A spherical rubber balloon of mass 3.00 g is inflated with helium until it has a radius of 15.0 cm. The helium inside has a pressure of 1.10 atm and a temperature of 300 K. Find the buoyant force on the helium filled balloon due to the surrounding air (which is as described in part c).
e. If the balloon is tethered to the ground by a string of negligible mass and length 1.00 m, find the period of oscillation when pushed slightly to one side. Treat the rubber balloon as a thin spherical shell and the gas inside as a sphere for purposes of finding the inertia.

Visualize the problem and identify special cases first examine the problem by drawing a picture and visualizing the motion. apply newton's 2nd law, ∑f⃗ =ma⃗ , to each body in your mind. don't worry about which quantities are given. think about the forces on each body: how are these consistent with the direction of the acceleration for that body? can you think of any special cases that you can solve quickly now and use to test your understanding later? one special case in this problem is if m2=0, in which case block 1 would simply fall freely under the acceleration of gravity: a⃗ 1=−gj^.
