You can find them near volcanoes and as well as the ocean's crust. They are made of basalt usually.  Also igneous rocks have little crystals if you look closely. This is how diamonds are formed. But the ones with tiny crystals were cools off fast usually by water. The ones the cool slower can turn into diamonds.

Igneous rocks form when molten rock cools and solidifies. The texture of igneous rocks is determined by how quickly they cool. Those that form on or near the surface tend to cool rapidly, giving the rock a fine grain, such as basalt, the most common rock on the ocean floor.

Basalt is found at divergent plate boundaries. Other igneous rocks are found along continental margins.
