The purpose of normalizing mental illness allows the sufferer to feel more comfortable sharing the symptoms without having to worry about the possible stigmatization from friends and family. This would allow prompt treatment and a fast return to wellbeing.

Unfortunately in our society mental illness is still not fully comprehended because many individuals are unaware of the causes and how it impacts daily life.
