Explain how famine, disease, and war are more likely with larger populations.

When the population of a certain area is larger, its needs are proportionately large as well.  Some areas have scarce resources that could not sustain such a large population.  This is even true when there is more than one group in the same place.  When the resources are not enough that is when famine will occur and many people will die.  When the situation gets desperate, people will resort to war in order to obtain the resources that they need.
