There are three types of plate tectonic boundaries: divergent, convergent, and transform plate boundaries.



Divergent boundaries occur when two tectonic plates move away from each other.

Convergent boundaries occur when two tectonic plates come together.

Transform plate boundaries occur when two tectonic plates slide past one another.
