Balance in the environment is usually corrupted by human activity. Balance between predator and prey, balance between beauty and ugliness, balance. But this balance is so often tipped and tampered with by us, humans. The whole Earth is off balance, she's tipping and turning, trying to keep herself alive as we kill her. Humans are off balance, running and trampling, trying to get ahead, but we fail to realize that ahead is relative, that ahead is just something we say to make ourselves feel better about the unjustifiable things we do.
