If someone can answer this correctly i will do something but i dont know what Did you like the unresolved ending in The Giver? Why do you think Lois Lowry chose to end The Giver this way? What do you think happened next? The ending of The Giver can be interpreted in differing ways. Perhaps Jonas is remembering the beautiful Christmas memory, which the Giver shared with him, as he and Gabriel freeze to death.

Or perhaps Jonas does hear music and is able to perceive the warm house where people are waiting to greet him.

Make your own interpretation and be creative with writing your own alternative ending.

it has to be 225 words or more

What is the effect of the author's choice of the word loathsome rather than hateful in this sentence from the count of monte cristo? two soldiers were accordingly sent for, and the inspector descended a stairway, so foul, so humid, so dark, as to be loathsome to sight, smell, and respiration. it reveals that the unpleasant aspects of the stairway are manmade. it stresses the disgusting, offensive nature of the stairway. it suggests that the soldiers are used to the place and do not hate it. it implies that the effects of the stairway are felt only by the inspector.
