I need an informal essay topic! I need it to be an like a short story kind of thing Here are some facts about me for some help:

I am Apostolic Pentecostal (I don't cut my hair and I don't wear pants)

I am a girl

I am white

I am in eighth grade

I live in southern Illinois, but I lived in Kentucky until I was 7

Most of my friends are boys

I play the trumpet in my school band

I had a MAJOR crush on a boy who is a freshman this year for like four years

I am the teachers pet :)

I'm a huge nerd/geek, but I still manage to be "popular" (not cheerleader popular, but I'm friends with everyone popular)

I have three siblings (two sisters and one brother) and a small dog

I go to church camp every year

I was a bible quizzer for several years

I currently like a guy that is part Mexican... his little brother has liked me since I was 9 and he was 8

I was always the tallest person in all of my classes, but now I'm only 5'2

I think a great topic for you would be discussing how people might view you differently than some of the other girls in your school because of your religion and the way you practice it.

Explanation:

I've never personally met an Apostolic Pentecostal, so this could be a very compelling essay to write! You can get into some conversations you've had with friends who didn't quite understand your religion, and you can also talk about times you've been accepted and embraced in public! Even something as seemingly arbitrary as struggling to keep your long hair out of your face in gym class, or shopping for back-to-school clothes and seeing lots of cute pants but no cute skirts would be interesting for a non-Pentecostal to read about and learn from!
