The city of Huntsville is proposing a property tax increase to help fund the building and maintenance of a brand new public high school ? Proponents of the tax increase point out that the number of students enrolled at Huntsville High School has
increased by 70% over the last year due to the influx of new industries in town."Opponents of the tax increase believe that
the current high school building has plenty of room for its students and that no tax increase is ever justified until all other
revenue streams have been investigated. This contentious issue will not be resolved
