details. Your statements should answer the critical listening questions and provide evidence from the presentation you
listened to
Ask yourself these questions:
1. Do I know the statement is based on fact, and can I verify the fact from multiple resources?
2. Is the statement affected by emotion?
3. Does the speaker have something to gain by changing my opinion?
4. Do I want to believe this simply because it was stated by someone I like or admire?
5. Most importantly, does this statement agree with my Christian ideals and standards? Why or why not?
