It was Marisa’s first time visiting New York City. Her best friend Alana from the neighborhood lived in New York City, but the girls had lost touch when Alana’s family moved away. Things have not been the same without Alana, Marisa thought to herself, no one knew me like she did. Marisa and her family were planning to spend the afternoon in Central Park. They stopped at a vendor’s stand to buy supplies for a picnic. Suddenly, Marisa felt a tap on her shoulder.
