The Freudian scheme of personality development is made up of five stages, which are: oral, a.nal, phallic, latency and g.enital phase. The latency phase occurs between the ages of 5 and 12 years and it is during this period that the individual experience the development of health dormant s.exual feeling for the people of opposite gender.
