What would each item—the chessboard, Red Queen and the pawn—represent in the Red Queen Hypothesis?

The chessboard, being the center of all events (in this case, a chess play), can be said to represent nature itself, as nature is the center of all life. Red Queen is naturally the Queen, as both have the same title. On the other hand, the pawn can represent all of the competing organisms who are trying to protect the Queen and be in her favor and potentially be promoted (evolve).

According to the Red Queen Hypothesis, a species has to evolve and adapt constantly in order to survive, especially when fighting against opposing organisms.
