Contemporary psychology is part of cognitive revolution because cognitive psychology adopts a scientific approach to the study of human behavior.

Psychology is defined as the the scientific study of the human mind and its functions, especially those affecting behavior in a given context according to Oxford dictionary.

Contemporary philosophy adopts a scientific approach in studying human behavior rather than a speculative approach.

The whole idea of "cognitive revolution" is the scientific study of the diverse ways of information perception, processing and storage. It is a more empirical approach towards the study of the cognitive roots of psychological disorders.

This movement started around the 1960s. Modern psychology, since this time have moved from behaviorism back to the study of cognitive processes.

Therefore, contemporary psychology is part of the "cognitive revolution".
