Advanced Placement (AP)

Read the excerpt: Benny raced as fast as he could, practically tripping over himself. He looked as if he hadn't slept in weeks. It was almost noon, and school had been in session for hours. Knowing he was late, he opened the door as quietly as he could, trying not to disturb the lesson. But just as he stepped foot into the room, there was a loud crunch of someone's snack under his shoe. The whole class turned around, and the teacher abruptly stopped her lesson. Benny turned bright red and broke out into a sweat. He stood frozen as everyone watched him walk to his seat. He decided at that moment that he would never be late again!
