situation: a teacher, ms. claybourne, is talking to a child's grandmother, mrs. pete, who was alive during american racial segregation. mrs. pete voices concerns about the potential for her granddaughter to face some of the same marginalization at school. ms. claybourne interrupts her to express her assertion that this will not happen.
