How child abuse negatively affect a positive upbringing of children

There are many way that this can negatively effect a positive upbringing of children. The main reason being depression. Depression is a very common side effect of child abuse. This can lead to lack of interest in learning in school which could then cause the children to loose their education. 

This is a very negatively because it's so messed up that somebody could do this to an innocent child
