The hatred between founding fathers Alexander Hamilton
and Aaron Burr was a tragic chapter in early American
history. In 1802, Burr was a candidate for governor of New
York, and Hamilton was a senior member of the Federalist
party. The two men had disliked each other for a long time.
But when Hamilton publicly questioned Burr's character, Burr
decided that he had had enough. He challenged Hamilton to
a pistol duel on July 11. Hamilton lost the duel and died of
his injuries the next day.

France, women were legally not allowed to wear pants until
2013? Famous women such as the writer George Sand and
the actress Marlene Dietrich rebelled against the law by
wearing pants in public. Dietrich was almost arrested for
wearing pants in the 1930s, but that didn’t stop her from
wearing them again.
