Under the rule of nezahualcoyotl the city of texcoco flourished true or false

Nezahualcóyotl was the ruler of the city-state of Texcoco in ancient Mexico who ruled between 1429 and 1472 and performed remarkably as a poet, scholar and architect .

Under his government, extraordinary construction and architectural projects were carried out in Texcoco and Tenochtitlan. Dams, aqueducts, palaces, temples, monuments, roads and gardens were built. Harmonizing the aesthetic with urban requirements.  

He also took into account the natural conditions of the environment preserving the springs and trees.

Among his other achievements are the introduction of irrigation, planting of flowers, spread of various animal species and the construction of a zoo and a botanical garden.

Also included in his works are the gardens of his palace and the dam that bears his name, built to prevent the mixing of salt water and fresh water from the great lake.
