Why is it so valuable to learn spanish?

By learning spanish, you'll be better able to communicate with people who speak spanish. Being able to speak Spanish greatly enhances your resume.

There are a lot of Spanish speaking people in America. Not only that, it could be very useful in any career, even one as simple as a fast food restaurant. I used to work at McDonald's and we had Mexicans coming in all the time, and it was a lot easier to communicate with them since there were a few people who knew Spanish. It's also valuable if you have siblings. My sister and I practically use it as a secret language if we don't want others to know what we're saying.
