"Bolivia a la Posteridad"
De América al gigante veis dormido!
Dios y la Libertad guardan su lecho.
De Iberia vencedor, venció al olvido
Dejando el solio de la gloria estrecho.
Mientras quede en la tierra algún latido
haya una fibra en el humano pecho,
Se han de inclinar los hombres ante el Hombre
Que dióle vida y me legó su nombre.
Bolivia to Posterity
From America you see the sleeping giant!
God and Liberty guard his bed.
From conquering Iberia, oblivion was conquered
Making the throne of glory seem too small.
While there remains upon the earth a heartbeat
there is a chord in the human heart,
It is fitting that men bow to the Man
That gave life and bequeathed upon me his name.
