This type of government ensures the fundamental worth of its citizens, their right to freedom, and the equality of all persons as stated in the Constitution. The most common form of accepting democracy is giving the power to the people in the form of voting. "By the people" would not be highly acknowledged if people will not choose their desired leaders through fair elections. It is a right of every U.S. citizen to vote because they have every right to choose who should govern and how they are governed.
