The point at which the nerves from the left side of the body cross over into the right side of the brain, and vice versa,

This happens because of Decussation.

Decussation is a point where nerves fibres cross over. Typically the nerves from the left side of the body decussate to the right side of the brain and the nerves from the right side of the body decussate to the left brain.

Depending upon the function of the nerves,the Decussation is variable
