I think that would be false. Using facial expressions help to know what a person is feeling. 
Examples-

Frowning will lead to being sad, mad, or just disgust. 

A big smile would look like you're being happy and exited about something or someone. 

Body postures also helps as well. 

Examples- 

Jumping up and down while smiling would look like you're very happy. 

Arms crossed with an angry face will be known as being mad, disturbed, etc.
