When aggression stems from feelings of anger, it is called aggression?

This is a form of reactive aggression. It is similar to other cases when aggression is the result of a strong immediate stimulus. Other similar stimuli are fear, surprise, or an immediate need to retaliate. This kind of aggression is typically spontaneous and unplanned. It is contrasted with proactive aggression, which is aggression in pursuit of a settled goal.
