Was Cleopatra an Egyptian?

While she was born in Egypt, It's probable that Cleopatra was a pure Macedonian Greek woman. However, it seems likely that she had some Egyptian blood, though the exact amount is unknown. Certainly not more than 50%, and most likely less. She was three-quarters Macedonian Greek and one-quarter Egyptian, according to the best evidence. There isn't enough place for anything else.

However despite this, Cleopatra was seen to have adopted many of the Egypt's historic traditions and was the first member of the Ptolemaic family to learn Egyptian.
