Pro's and con's of decriminalizing drugs to end the war on drug in the US.

Pros:

- Addiction treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery programs could potentially be less expensive.

- In Portugal, where drugs were legalized, statistics say that addicts are more likely to find recovery in rehabilation and not jail.

Cons:

- Treatments in modern health care system will not suffice to treat a new potential influx of addicts.

- Prices are estimated to fall because of more supply, so there may be a higher increase of addiction.
