Q1. List and arrange the observed colors based on how they appear on paper.  

This activity aims to determine what white light is made of.  

In the PART A  experiment, students were asked to refract sunlight using a bowl full of water, a piece of white paper and a mirror.  

OBSERVATION:  

It has been observed that sunlight consists of different colors of light. When you combine all these colors, apart from the pigment, the light only appears  as white light. Refractory white light consists of the following colors:  

Red  

Orange  

Yellow  

Green  

Blue  

Indigo  

Purple  

The colors are similar to the colors of the rainbow. It is now clear to me that rainbows are the  result of  refracted white light.
