That is, is it only communication if one person’s mind affects another’s? 3. Transmission of information, ideas, emotions & skills via symbols Does communication necessarily involve symbols? 4. Transmission of a message from a source to a receiver with conscious intent to affect the latter’s behavior Does it only count as communication if it’s intentional?
