15-year old Sienna lives in rural Pennsylvania and sells fruits and vegetables at a local farm stand in the summertime. She works with other students her own age who all routinely take cash from the register and pocket it. She feels the pressure to be like her friends and also wants the money.

Sienna is scared to do this but her friend tells her how to get away with it. The friend explains that the owner counts the money at 6pm, but doesn’t worry about what comes in or out between 6pm-7pm. Sienna’s friend advises her that that’s exactly the right time to steal. Sienna tries this one day and she isn’t caught. She decides to do this whenever she wants a little extra pocket money. She tells herself, “The owner won’t miss it anyway.”
