That would mean that human beings are all the same with no allowances for heritage and different views. Even within a society, the universal development of that society is a false notion. There will always be those who fall outside the norm or refuse to comply. Further, these same people will comply with some norms and not others. However, if by “universal” you mean that the majority agree to certain behaviours and norms, while still holding some of the less important so as to allow for some individuality, that is indeed how societies are formed. The has to be that majority agreement, which is not truly universal.

With MNCs opening up food and clothing chains, we are encouraged to wear and eat things that were not part of our culture at one point. Though this is often seen as a negative phenomenon, in my opinion, it is actually good.
