You are now a Social Movement Organization: 1. What social issue are you going to highlight in your movement? 2. What’s the name of your movement? Think of three ways that you would promote your social issue. Keep in mind that the best way to bring attention to an issue may not be a peaceful march. SOCIAL issues can be addressed and highlighted through SOCIAL venues (such as social media, TV shows,) or in other traditional venues and methods (such as a boycott). Making a post on social media isn’t enough to bring attention to a major social issue. How are you going to get people to share your post? Will you make a tik-tok? Will you tweet ellen? Will you have celebrities hold up signs that say something about your movement? Think of the: Ice Bucket Challenge, Me Too movement, and other popular social media movements. 1. Name three ways that you are going to promote your social issue.
