Religions change with culture. Those that don't change die out and become mythology and/or action heroes (Thor, Hercules, Merlin). The religions we all follow have adapted successfully through many cultural shifts. How do they do that? Given that most current religions have a scriptural basis that is often centuries-old, how do we adapt old texts to new understandings? Is this legitimate? How do different religions deal with the conflict between old and new interpretations? Might there come a time when we need a new religion with a new (digital) text? Is it already here?
