South Africa's recent history is in many ways a success story. People worked together to end the unfair and harmful system of apartheid, and they did it without going to war.
But many South Africans are not satisfied with the state of their country today. They want greater opportunity and faster improvements. Some black South Africans have gained wealth, but the majority remain poor.
