Explain three emotional effects of risky behaviours on one's lifestyle choices

Three emotional effects of risk behaviors on someone lifestyle choice:

1. Low self-esteem: involving in a risk behavior can make low self-esteem. People with low self-esteem are unhappy or unsatisfied with themselves most of the time. Low self-esteem can reduce the quality of a person’s life in many different ways such as self-harming behaviors, negative thinking, relationship problem, and perfectionist.

2. Internal anger: When a person experiences risky behavior it might be because of internal anger. Your anger can affect everyday activities, your relationships with others and on important parts of your life. Anger also causes feelings like guilt, remorse, and shame. New ways of thinking and acting will help you to be more content and happy which, in turn, will help you to more easily overcome anger and frustration.  

3. Emotional distress: stress symptoms may be affecting your health, even though you might not realize it. Stress symptoms can affect your body, your thoughts, and behaviors. It is important to be able to recognize common stress symptoms so you can manage them. Stress that left unchecked can contribute to many health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes.

The emotional effects of risk behaviors may lead to other risk behaviors. Low self-esteem, internal anger, emotional distress, anxiety if left untreated for a long period of time can contribute to many health problems. It is also affected your relationship with your surrounding. It is important to be aware of the symptoms and finds help if you need to, talk to a trusty friend, family or a counselor.
