According to hobbes, what is the primary purpose of the social contract?

Thomas Hobbes argued that people make social contracts, create laws and governments, because they recognize that an orderly and stable society is preferable to one in the "state of nature." Thus, according to Hobbes, people elect to sign the social contract out of fear.

It could be anything, recent improvements in technology/telecommunication/internet have increased the pace of globalization.generally, it has something to do with technology. globalization means that people around the world are brought together through technology which speeds things up. so maybe some of those options could be correct. : )
