Instruments of communication that reach large audiences with no personal contact between those sending the information and those receiving it are called mass media. Mass media are all existing means of communication/information such as firms, television, and radio (means technology that is intended to reach a mass audience). Television is the most appealing way since they hold the attention of the viewers. Radio is more used when you are performing other activities. The users don´t need to leave the house to be informed, they have the possibility to watch television, to read the newspapers, to listen to the radio and nowadays to use the internet. These are the primary means of communication used to reach the vast majority of the general public (that typically relies on the mass media to provide information regarding all kind of issues such as entertainment).
