Does anyone know how to answer these questions ? Thank you. a) Characterise the primary difference between a trade union and an industrial/general union.
b) What is the difference between a grievance procedure and a disciplinary procedure?
c) Why is it advisable to resolve grievances at the earliest opportunity and at the most local level? Frame your answers in terms of efficiency, fairness and cost.
d) You are a HR manager at a bread manufacturer. One of the workers in the factory is unhappy that they have been asked to work three bank holiday Mondays in a row, while other workers have never worked on a bank holiday Monday. The worker is threatening to bring the issue straight to the Workers’ Rights Commission, even though they have never raised the issue with you, or with their direct supervisor. Suggest three actions you would take to resolve the issue, with regards to engaging with the worker; and in terms of implementing HR policies.
