The benefits one gains for belonging to a community group is that they can be active in their community, they can know whats happening in their community and they can have some form of sociality in their lives.  By belonging to a community group one can learn how a group functions.  They can find problems and fix them to better help their community. By helping thier community they are staying active in their community.  For many people to be in one group would create some bond between them.  They must do a lot of things together and that would create some friendships.  This creates the social life of being in a community group.  If something were to happen to one member then the rest would try and help them.  The group all works towards one main focus which is to help their community grow and be better than it was the day before.

well it depends i think people around the world are coming around to gay marriage. but if you are talking abortion then wow, so much to talk about. such as men thinking they have the right to choose if women can, the fact there are health concerns if the women can't get one, and many more arguments to discuss. so i would definitely say abortion would be a much more interesting topic.
