The belief in spiritual equality led to the belief of equality in government, which led to representative governments being  created in the New WOrld. It was an ideal place because it was away from British/any monarchy. Britain even practiced Salutary Neglect, which meant that Britain's government left the New World's government alone. With little intervention, the New World was able to create multiple successful representative governments.
