Why Tambo international airport would have been the most cost or time effective arrangement​

Johannesburg - OR Tambo International Airport was formerly known as Johannesburg International Airport and prior to that was called Jan Smuts Airport. The airport was renamed in 2006 to honour the memory of one of South Africa's national heroes and icons, Oliver Reginald Tambo.

The airport was founded in 1952 as Jan Smuts International Airport, two years after Smuts's death, near the town of Kempton Park on the East Rand. It replaced Palmietfontein International Airport, which had handled European flights since 1945.

Why is SAA not profitable?

The airline is bleeding money, and made massive losses over recent years, with taxpayers having to fork out more than R25 billion in bailouts and guaranteed loans. Its predicament was caused by a number of problems: including political interference, the weak rand and leadership turmoil

there are conflicting perceptions. what cannot be denied is that despite a long history of discrimination, they finally chose to bow out in grace and handed over power to the majority. it was a painful experience for them to part with their prerogatives and some chose to leave the country. however, they did decide to bite the bullet and go through the process with minimum obstructions.

presently, whites are still a force to reckon with. they are well educated, have technical and business expertise, they understand imperatives of good governance and are responsible for keeping south africa connected with developed countries. despite a bitter history, they are useful team members of the south african team.
