Ain't like I'm still five years old, you know. Ain't like I'll be sitting up every night asking my mom, "When's Dad coming home?", you know. Who needs him? Hey, he wasn't there to teach me how to throw my first basket, but I learned, didn't I? And I got pretty dang good at it too, didn't I. Got through my first date without him, right? I learned how to drive, I learned how to shave, I learned how to fight without him. I had *fourteen* great birthdays without him. He never even sent me a dang card! [shouts] To heck with him! I ain't need him then and I don't need him now. No, you know what? I'll get through college without him, I'll get a great job without him, I'll marry me a beautiful honey, and I'll have me a whole bunch of kids. I'll be a better father than he ever was, and I sure as heck don't need him for that, 'cause ain't a dang thing he could ever teach me about how to love my kids! How come he don't want me, man?
this scene reminds me of my life way to much only he left me when i was 2
but really why dosnt he want me

The platt amendment of 1901 forbade cuba from entering into any treaties that would allow undue foreign involvement in cuban affairs. this law was passed after the spanish-american war to make sure that european nations weren’t going to get involved with cuba. 1, why might the platt amendment be considered ironic? 2, what reasons would the united states have for not wanting european influence in cuba?
