Instructions There are two parts to this assignment which should be covered in the form of a written essay:

Part I: What is a sociological topic that you might be interested in researching that is related to social media, other than cyberbullying? How might you conduct research on that topic? Review the steps in the research process as outlined and discussed in Chapter 2 of the textbook and online lessons. You must address each of the steps in the research process in your response and the ethical issues you must take into consideration.

Part II: Develop an annotated bibliography for at least two (2) sources that support the "literature" review stage of the research. For example, if you are researching cyberdating on social media, you will have to search academic journals, articles, and reputable sources to check out what research has previously been done on the topic. An example of an annotated bibliography is located in the overview tab titled annotated bibliography guide.

Requirements for assignments

The assignment should be written in academic paragraph form and should contain content and information from the textbook and lesson using the American Sociological Association (ASA) writing guidelines. Support resources are located in the overview tab of eLearn.
Must have at least two (2) external resources beyond the textbook
Always cite resources
Demonstrate your understanding of the sociological research methods process
Remember for each writing assignment students are expected to support their responses to the questions posed by applying course material and additional, external research. It is important that you include proper documentation of this research in each and every assignment. This means you need to include in-text citations and a references page that meet ASA guidelines for EVERY assignment.
