Please please help me. I have to turn this in by 9 or else it won't be counted for a grade. And I'm already failing. Explain both the positive and negative influences geography had on the people who moved to the West early on. What opportunities did geography provide? What obstacles did it present? Provide multiple specific examples.

Pros:  

    2. Gold was plentiful in the mountains and made many people wealthy       which brought on economic growth

    3. New plants led to scientific discoveries furthering the world of medicines

    4.  Increased knowledge in farming allowing the economy to thrive

Cons:

      1. Native Americans were forced out of their land

      2. Buffaloes experienced a rapid decline in populations due to recreational hunting

      3. Slavery - A lot of  Native Americans were taken as slaves and forced to work in inhumane conditions.
