Explanation:

  In my opinio, I think having to be 35 years or older is fair, because if your younger than that you might be unexperienced or not know what or how to handle things. I think having to live in the U.S.  for 14 years is a little ridiculous, because know matter where you come from you may still have that knowledge or experience that someone else might not have.

side note: A paragraph is 5 sentences

texas governor sam houston opposed secession, but was unable to prevent it. in this speech, given prior to lincoln's election, he presents the argument that slavery would be safer within the united states than outside of it. it was a prescient argument, and one held by several other southern leaders.
