How do organisms differ in the ways they obtain the ways they obtain their energy source or food?

There are two different ways organisms obtain their energy source, or food. One way is with autotrophs and the other way is with heterotrophs. Autotrophs can make there own food. But on the other hand heterotrophs get their food from other organisms.
