The introduction section (part) of a research study is simply the part of the study that identifies or state the purpose of research/article, reviews related literature, lists the research questions or hypothesis that is being addressed in the research. It tells you what to know about the researcher purpose of conducting research.

Introduction section serve simply as;

1. Provides background information on the study.

2. Explains the importance & relevance of the problem, previous research work on that particular study or related study and also unresolved issues associated with that type of research.

3. Explains or state the rational for the study, research question and hypothesis.
