Zulema tiene 10 años y está cursando quinto grado en una escuela matutina. Al mediodía llega a la casa hambrienta, dispuesta a comer todo lo que encuentre. Devora la comida y, tras comer el último bocado, prende el televisor porque comienza la novela del medio día. A los 15 minutos llega Daniel, su hermano, que tiene 14 y cursa segundo año del secundario. Daniel también viene con hambre, así que rápidamente Zulema pone a calentar su comida. Mientras tanto, la niña disfruta de los minutos que le quedan para seguir la novela porque sabe que, apenas Daniel termine de almorzar, será desplazada por un programa deportivo. Sin embargo, ese día decide que va a ver su novela y apenas el hermano llega se para delante del televisor y le dice que esa vez la novela no se cambia y le aclara que a partir de ese momento ella va terminar de ver la novela todos los días porque llega antes. Como única respuesta el hermano la empuja fuertemente y le saca el control remoto de la mano. Entonces ella va llorando a contarle por teléfono a su madre –que está en el trabajo– lo que ha pasado. Resuelva el caso, utilizando la deliberación y la negociación colaborativa.
