One of the most notable battles during the American Civil War was the battle of Bull Run. This battle took place on 21st July 1861 in Prince William County, Virginia. In this battle, the Southern confederacy achieved victory. The main reason why so many Northers were amazed at the consequence of the battle was that the Union troops were larger in contrast to the Confederate troops and though the Northern troops failed to achieve victory.
