In the image above we can see that the KKK is threatening people who think differently from them. According to Tourgee, the KKK is threatening Republican citizens. These threats are happening, because they account for differences of opinion and the Republicans' attempt to not allow the KKK to do any activity.Stephens was torturously and slowly killed in front of KKK members.
